Instead of the vmas my parents are watching that show on food network/travel channel where the guy goes around the world and eats all the ~interesting~ food.

I haven't updated in forever oops.

Last week I bought a SLR. It's purty. I'm still trying to figure out how to use it.
I saw 1997 on Thursday they were so so good i love it. It was only five or six songs which is such a disappointment for a band with two really good albums. Speaking of these albums i just actually started listening On The Run like two weeks ago.. initially i didn't like it but i'm in love with it now. woot.
omg Caleb looked sickly and like he was gonna drop dead or something. Kevin is so qt~



National Product was really good. I never heard them before. They're from Hawaii!

Um school started. I really like English and Math and that's about it. I hate health. We started work in music the first day and i have to know the 15 major scales by tomorrow. I don't. So I'm sort of fucked. oops.

oh now she turns the vma pre-thing on.

why do all these tours have to come here at the same time?

october 3rd - the morning light, the rocket summer etc etc
october 11th - ftsk, cobra, etc etc
october 12th - all time low , maydayparade, etc
october 18th - well relient k/tprov/ludo in connecticut cause theyre skipping NYC completely
october 20th this prov/ludo
october 29th - anberlin/straylight

i really don't care about all time low i'll probably just go for...fun lol that sounds stupid.
but WHY MUST THESE ALL BE IN OCTOBER. i'll probably just cnonvince my mother how schoolwork is slow in the beginning of the year anyway or something idk. this prov on oct 20th i'll probably be going alone.

My laptop won't connect to the internet. Weird.
So today I started my first day in pediatrics at the hospital. The pediatric department is like the completely opposite of six south, the neurology department I used to volunteer at Sunday mornings. It's well lit and clean and everything actually works, and the people are all really nice. I enjoyed myself.
So my shift goes like this:
12 - get there, sign in, etc.
12-2:30 - do any ~duties~ that arise. I get to play with kids and mail get well cards and other stuff idk.
2:30-3:00 - break aka go to the cafeteria and enjoy my $4 worth of free hospital food.
3-4:00 - work as a clerk at the front desk cause the lady leaves and the other clerk doesn't come till 4. basically, I answer the phone, check my e-mail, and use the button on this awesome intercom with a screen to let people in (since pediatrics is locked)

not bad.
Now I'm doing things for Scene Trash. woooo

so i got my hair cut a few days ago. only like 2 inches but i do not like it. except i'm pretty sure all of my hair consisted of split ends so i kind of had to. 

so the past two nights i had sweet sixteens. i am socially awkward. the one saturday night was better than fridays. holy shit the girl had a candy bar thing

why have i not seen this show yet?

I am bored.
last night i had my friend kelly's sweet 16. it was okay. i'm socially awkward so it was pretty socially awkward. the highlight of my night was when she was doing the 16 candles ceremony thing and for some of the people she played we the kings and GUESS WHO INTRODUCED HER TO WE THE KINGS? oh and guess what, my dress strap broke, so the whole night i had it attached with a hair clip.
tonight i have another one. i'm hoping it will be better. idk.

oh so i ~applied~ to work for scene trash promotions (myspace | website) and am not "employed" under scene trash. uh it's a magazine and focuses on unsigned bands. IF I HAD A CAMERA I COULD GET PHOTO PASSES D: anyway if i decide i want to work in the music industry i will have ~experience~ and something to put on my resume. (omg like the nyu music business major. LOOK AT THE CLASSES THEY TAKE.)
yeah so hopefully this won't suck. and i guess since PTD broke up i can have something more to do at shows/online.

i have a mess of a room to clean and a load of running to do for cross country.
i'm leaving for new orleans a week from tomorrow.

um 1997 announced an east tour. the closest they're going is the south hackensack NJ, which really isn't that far only like 40 mins away. BUT no one i know likes 1997. not even that they haven't heard of them, just my 2 friends that go to shows really don't like them. if they were playing in the city or on long island i'd just go alone since they're close and i wouldn't need a ride... but nooo... they're not.
they're one of the only bands i haven't seen that i really have to.

1997 - On The Run

doesn't beat A Better View of the Rising Moon nope sorry.
um it's similar to TAI.... like how almost here feels like home and santi feels like it's good but just not almost here.
i really love a better view of the rising moon, for the record. in my top like 5 albums

it IS really good though.i like it a lot. kevin's voice<333 and musically it has improved.  it sounds like cleaned up and put together.
still though it's not Better View of the Rising Moon. idk it sounds more mature and...different

question
is it alida that was on the first album? or the other girl they had. i'm assuming it was the other girl cause whoever's on this album sounds completely different, so either that or alida got a lot of help on her voice. idk
